Job Description

Bitdeer is seeking an experienced System Administrator and Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain critical manufacturing and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) environments at our US factory site.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of production systems, including C/S architecture applications, SQL Server databases, storage systems, and factory IT infrastructure. This role requires strong troubleshooting capability, hands-on system administration experience, and the ability to support 24/7 manufacturing operations onsite.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain and support MES and other manufacturing-related systems to ensure stable factory operations;
  • Administer and maintain Windows/Linux servers, Hyper-V virtualization environments, SQL Server databases, and related infrastructure systems;
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis for production issues;
  • Manage SQL Server backup/recovery, database performance optimization, and routine maintenance tasks;
  • Support storage systems, file servers, SAN/NAS environments, and disaster recovery solutions;
  • Coordinate and handle emergency response activities to ensure 24/7 business continuity for factory operations;
  • Maintain system security, patch management, and infrastructure reliability;
  • Work closely with MES vendors, software engineers, and factory operation teams to resolve technical issues;
  • Develop and improve operational procedures, documentation, and system monitoring processes.

How you will stand out:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields;
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, infrastructure support, or manufacturing IT environments;
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, including backup/recovery, performance tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting;
  • Familiar with C/S architecture applications and enterprise manufacturing systems (MES experience preferred);
  • Familiar with Windows Server administration and basic Linux system management, and Hyper-V virtualization environments;
  • Experience with storage systems, SAN/NAS infrastructure, and disaster recovery solutions;
  • Familiar with TCP/IP, network fundamentals, and common enterprise infrastructure services;
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production environments;
  • Experience supporting factory onsite operations or manufacturing environments is highly preferred;
  • Ability to support after-hours or emergency production incidents when required;
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mandarin speaking is a big plus
  • Microsoft SQL Server related certifications;
  • VMware / Windows Server certifications;
  • Storage or infrastructure-related certifications;
  • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate;
  • Experience supporting MES systems in manufacturing environments
