Job description

Job Summary: Join a dedicated team focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within healthcare facilities across the Midwest region. This role supports patients, staff, visitors, and vendors by performing essential non-clinical tasks with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Housekeeping: Utilize a thorough seven-step cleaning process to ensure assigned areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Tasks include cleaning patient rooms, dusting, sanitizing, waste removal, bathroom upkeep, floor care, and replenishing supplies. Conduct inspections and complete any additional cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Laundry and Pack Room: Manage linen processing by sorting, drying, ironing, folding, packing, and distributing linens according to established protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization in linen areas, conduct inventories, and document usage. Inspect surgical linens for quality, perform necessary repairs, and pack components per case requirements.
  • Equipment and Safety: Maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment and promptly report any needed repairs. Demonstrate proper use of chemicals and tools. Adhere to safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness policies.
  • Guest Relations and Teamwork: Exhibit courtesy, compassion, and respect in all interactions. Collaborate effectively with team members, support departmental goals, and assist peers to enhance overall service quality.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards. Report any concerns related to safety, abuse, neglect, or harassment. Participate in emergency response duties as required.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Previous experience in a related support services role is advantageous.
