Job description

A well-established general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Nashville area. This is an opportunity to join a growing team with a strong pipeline of municipal work, including treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utility projects.


Position Overview

The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience in water/wastewater construction environments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily field operations on water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utility projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews to maintain project schedules
  • Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on-site
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges in the field
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to drive successful project delivery

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of superintendent experience in heavy civil or water/wastewater construction
  • Proven experience with at least one of the following:
