Job description

The Senior Project Engineer position is a senior technical role responsible for directing projects through all phases of design and construction administration. The SPE leads project teams in the production of drawings, calculations, and specifications; manages coordination with other design disciplines; and serves as the primary point of contact for client communication. The SPE works closely with Senior Associates and Associates on project oversight, technical decision-making, and maintaining the client relationships that drive the firm's growth.

Qualifications

BS in Civil/Structural Engineering.

MS in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.

PE required, SE preferred.

Individuals should have a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in structural analysis and design, as well as experience in preparing plans and detail drawings.

2+ years of management experience preferred.

Proficiency in seismic design and lateral systems (braced frames, moment frames, shear walls).

Experience with ETABS, RISA, RAM, Enercalc, Revit and MS Office.

Strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Two weeks (10 days) paid vacation per year, which will be prorated relative to your start date. Candidates with significant industry experience may negotiate ahigher rate of vacation accrual.

Sick leave will be accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, starting on the first day of employment.

After 6 months of employment, employee is eligible to work from home up to 2 days per week.

After 6 months of employment, employee is eligible to participate in our 401k program with company match.

After 90 days of employment, employee is eligible to use PARADIGM owned condominium at the Everline Resort located in Olympic Valley, California.

Compensation

Salary range for this position is $120k-$160k. The pay rate is based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education and skills.
