Job Summary

Assistant Store Leaders in addition to the Nutritional Consultation role is someone committed to assisting Store Leader(s) in day-to-day management of one or more retail locations. This role requires some nights and weekends. This role is focused on creating a positive working environment - with special focus on store marketing, operations and staff development.

Pay Range: $16.38-$26.21 per hour.

Exact rate of pay will be based on position and experience level.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Primary focus is customer experience including customer service, staff development and operations.
  • Partners to develop a team mentality in the areas of operational and customer experience to ensure store success.
  • Supports company in meeting its sustainability goals related to the environment, employees, community, and improvement in sustainability.
  • Leadership: As a leader in the store, you'll help to hire and train. You'll engage with team to continue to grow their skills and stay engaged in ONP mission driven activities including our B-Corp status.
  • Customer Engagement: You'll work with teams to build strong relationships with our customers and support safe and inclusive work environment team, customers and their pets.
  • Initiative: In partnership with your Store Leader, you'll support merchandising initiatives and set standards for success.
  • Reporting/Scheduling/Inventory: In supportive role with your store leader in the overall scheduling, inventory control and related reporting requirements defined by the business.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years related experience or equivalent, with preferably two years in the pet industry.
  • Champions excellent customers service, problem solving and positive store culture.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop analytical and problem-solving skills
