This full-time, remote position offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in the lives of our clients by delivering high-quality mental health care. Our team believes in the transformative power of therapy and is committed to fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth.

About the Organization

At California Neurobehavioral Associates, we are dedicated to promoting mental wellness through evidence-based therapy and supportive practices. Our practice consists of a diverse team of seasoned clinicians who collaborate to provide outstanding care tailored to the needs of each client. We are passionate about helping individuals and families navigate through their mental health challenges and are proud to be a trusted resource in the Riverside community.

This position is primarily remote, offering a flexible work setting while still providing access to the resources and support you need to succeed. Our outpatient office environment emphasizes collaboration among team members, allowing for shared learning and mentorship. You will primarily work with clients via telehealth platforms but will also have opportunities for in-office sessions when needed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing individual, family, and group therapy using recognized therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
  • Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans that align with the unique needs and goals of each client while ensuring measurable progress is tracked through regular evaluations.
  • Delivering ongoing emotional support and guidance to clients as they face challenges such as trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts, empowering them to navigate these issues effectively.
  • Facilitating group therapy sessions that foster community, connection, and personal development among participants.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development by pursuing additional clinical skills and certifications in specialized areas such as trauma, addiction, or grief counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with diverse adult and adolescent clients who are dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. Our practice serves a spectrum of individuals, including those facing acute crises, long-standing mental health challenges, and those seeking personal growth and emotional resilience. You will play a pivotal role in their journey towards recovery and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Active California State LMHC credential.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and an understanding of diverse populations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience

While 2 years of prior experience in mental health counseling is required, the following are preferred:

  • Experience working in outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies.
  • Engagement in professional organizations related to mental health.
Compensation and Benefits

California Neurobehavioral Associates offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Generous paid time off policy.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.
  • Continuing education stipends for professional development and certifications.
  • Flexible working hours to promote work-life balance.
Career Growth Opportunities

We are committed to the professional growth of our team members. In this role, you will have access to numerous training opportunities and potential pathways to advanced positions within the organization. Whether through specialized certification programs or leadership roles, we encourage our counselors to pursue their professional ambitions.

Why Join Our Team
