Assistant/Associate/Staff Scientist - Srinivasan Lab

The Srinivasan Laboratory at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is recruiting a motivated Staff Scientist to study the development and disease mechanisms of lymphatic vessels and cardiovascular valves.

Our research addresses diseases including lymphedema, aortic stenosis, mitral valve prolapse, venous valve dysfunction, thrombosis, and inflammatory disorders. We use multidisciplinary approaches including genetically engineered mouse models, advanced imaging, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, and bioinformatics.

Successful candidates will have opportunities to develop independent research directions, learn new experimental and computational approaches, present their work at scientific meetings, and contribute to high-impact publications.

Candidate Profile

Relevant backgrounds include Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Vascular Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, or Bioinformatics. Experience with mouse models, imaging, genomics, or computational analysis is desirable but not required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a biological science, M.D., or equivalent
  • Familiarity with standard lab techniques.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic about science.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and write summaries of result.
  • Must be efficient with time and project management.
  • Must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team with complementary skill sets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant experience working with mouse models of disease and microscopy is highly preferred.
Work Hours

Work hours are typically Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm.
