Job description

For nearly 30 years, SQA Services has been a leading provider of managed supplier quality services, offering audits, assessments, remote surveillance, corrective actions, remediation, inspections, and engineering solutions to manufacturers across all industries. We deliver these services by deploying a network of highly skilled associates based throughout the United States and in over 90 countries worldwide, ensuring rapid on-site support at supplier locations. Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with extensive experience and local expertise, enabling us to represent our clients on demand with greater speed and efficiency than our competitors.
We're hiring for an Electromechanical Quality Inspector II position based in Grenada, MS. This is a first shift, as-needed position supporting source inspections at one or more supplier facilities, with opportunities to work approximately 20-40 hours per week depending on project needs.
In this role, you'll perform inspections of electromechanical products and welded assemblies, verifying compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications. Responsibilities include validating dimensional tolerances using precision hand inspection tools, inspecting both mechanical components and electrical assemblies, performing electrical verification such as continuity and pinout checks, and reviewing First Article Inspections (FAIs), Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and inspection documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electromechanical and welding inspections in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, is comfortable interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T, and has a strong understanding of quality documentation and inspection processes. Candidates should be able to work independently while representing SQA Services at supplier locations.
If you're detail-oriented, thrive in a hands-on quality environment, and enjoy working independently in the field, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Inspect critical features, including rivets, mechanical assemblies, and wiring assemblies, for compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Verify inspection methods, measurement equipment, and dimensional requirements.
  • Execute inspection plans and compile final inspection reports and documentation.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and support corrective actions for nonconformances.
  • Provide quality and manufacturing status reports to support project delivery.
  • Witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and validate equipment readiness prior to shipment.
  • Serve as the on-site customer representative supporting supplier quality activities.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, including wiring diagrams.

Required Qualifcations:
  • Experience inspecting electromechanical components, preferably cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques.
  • 5+ years of quality inspection experience, or 3+ years with an ASME or CWI certification.

$32 - $38 an hour
