Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.
This Electrical Designer II plays a pivotal role in creating visually stunning 3D and 2D graphics for control projects submitted by our Trane Commercial Field Sales & Service Offices. By leveraging their expertise in digital tools, they help bring our projects to life! While reporting to a Lead Digital Designer, they may also have the opportunity to work within a dynamic sub team led by a Senior Digital Designer.
What you will do:

  • Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
  • Documentation of parts and bills of materials.
  • Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processes.
  • Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings and sketches.
  • Lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors.
  • Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials.
  • Maintains awareness and adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.
  • Receives generalized information and instruction pertaining to assignment from Engineers or senior staff. Work direction, content and accuracy reviewed by engineers or senior department members.

What you will bring:
  • Associate's Degree in Design or Engineering Technology (or related discipline) is required; OR at least 4-years of work experience using computer aided graphic solutions will be considered in lieu of an Associate's Degree.
  • Experience in SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Pro Engineer or CAD/AutoCAD.
