Solutions Architect

The Opportunity:

At a certain point, experience-based system design can start to look like clairvoyance. When you've developed so many systems that you can not only orchestrate the best solution for any technology-based challenge, but you can also anticipate and preempt future issues, you're a solutions architect. You've evolved your skills into strategy through a long path of software development accomplishments and the curiosity to understand how all the pieces of an IT ecosystem fit together. Are you ready to use your combination of knowledge, skill, and experience to take on the client's toughest challenges?

As a solution architect on our team, you'll translate your customer's IT needs and future goals into a plan by crafting complex IT solutions. And what do you do next in a career where you've reached this level? You mentor the next set of developers to help them grow into tomorrow's solutions architects. As a technical leader, you'll shape the digital solutions business and identify opportunities for growth.

Work with us and build the future of technology in the DoD for the better.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in the analysis and design of complex IT solutions, including integrating or interfacing between multiple software applications, processing platforms, and software products
  • 5+ years of experience working with cloud computing platforms, including Amazon Web Services(AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform(GCP)
  • Experience authoring technical artifacts, including logical and physical network diagrams, technical specifications, and system installation procedures, to articulate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience implementing solutions using modern system architecture principles, including microservices
  • Experience in business development, including architecting enterprise systems and aligning them with government evaluation criteria and statements of work
  • Experience modernizing enterprise software delivery in support of digital transformation
  • Experience managing technical delivery, including forward-leaning modernization efforts in the DoD, federal government, or commercial entities
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in software engineering, or 8+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working closely with software development teams
  • Experience with project, task, and team leadership
  • Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods
  • Experience evaluating architectural tradeoffs and designing robust service-based software applications for scalable enterprise production use
  • Experience with full-stack development in a professional environment for enterprise production capabilities
  • Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent listening skills
  • Master's degree
  • AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Certification
