Job Description
DUTIES: Define a high-level architectural design for the software owned by the Agile Release Train (ART) comprehending all non-functional requirements (NFRs) and future technical directions thereby enabling the Continuous Delivery Pipeline. Lead creation of new components, re-architecting software for evolving requirements and improve quality maintainability and scalability. Develop the architectural runway for the ART comprehending all Enabler Epics Business Epics and all System variant architectural roadmaps. Drive software quality improvements into the software owned by the ART with a focus on Software Structural Quality Assurance (SSQA) and evaluating code for controller resource improvements. Support Agile framework related planning and work acceptance meetings including Planning Increment (PI, Pre-PI, Post-PI) system demos, and I&A architecture sync. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as an Application Software Architect, Assistant Manager or related occupation. OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Two (2) years of experience as an Application Software Architect, Assistant Manager or related occupation. Two (2) years of experience in the following: Software development process; C/C++ programming language; Embedded controls, software architectures, and design trade offs; Electrical systems, controls and component development and validation; Architecture design controller resource utilization reduction or training; Agile Environment; Software defined vehicle (SDV) Architecture; Safety critical embedded software development under ISO 26262; Control algorithm design for Vehicle Dynamics including steering, brakes or chassis systems; CAN and LIN serial communications; Design Failure Mode Engineering Analysis (DFMEA); and Commercial change management and version control tool.
