Senior Software Engineer - Embedded Systems (Onsite, Maple Grove, MN) 12-Month Contract | 1st Shift | Bachelor's Degree Required | Secret Clearance Eligibility About the Role Indotronix seeks a results-driven Senior Software Engineer to join our Munitions Software Integrated Product Team in Maple Grove, MN. You'll be at the forefront of embedded systems development for mission-critical defense solutions, leading hands-on software engineering efforts while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This role offers the challenge and reward of technical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and the chance to make a direct impact on national security programs. Responsibilities - Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded C++ software for advanced munitions programs. - Lead full lifecycle software engineering across multiple contracts, including estimation, planning, requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, and testing. - Oversee technical progress, cost, and schedule to ensure timely achievement of project milestones. - Drive software verification, test development, debugging, and formal milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR). - Collaborate with Software Quality Assurance, Software Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, and Safety Engineering teams. - Ensure strict adherence to software development processes, safety, and cybersecurity standards. - Support Earned Value Management System (EVMS) activities, including Control Account and Work Package management. - Prepare and present technical status updates and project metrics to customers and leadership. - Act as a technical leader and mentor, remaining primarily focused on hands-on technical contributions. Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline. - 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on embedded systems. - Advanced proficiency in object-oriented design and C++. - Demonstrated experience with RTOS and bare-metal real-time embedded software development. - Full software development lifecycle expertise. - Familiarity with Ethernet communications and embedded protocols. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proven experience leading software development and cross-functional engineering efforts. - Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Control Account, and Work Package management. Preferred Skills - Experience with software management and engineering development processes. - Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and BAE Systems Life Cycle Management. - Cybersecurity knowledge, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO). - Cybersecurity certifications. - Experience in weapon systems or combat vehicle software development.
