Job Summary:
Hyperfine, Inc. is a pioneering health technology company focused on transforming patient care through portable MRI technology. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud to design and develop software systems for managing their devices and data at scale, collaborating with various teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop software systems and cloud applications with focus on maintenance, extensibility, integration, and security of data storage and retrieval.
• Quickly learn new tooling, platforms, and frameworks, when building and developing microservices and APIs.
• Adoption of new policies, technologies, and practices, as well as the evolution of existing methodologies.
• Implement comprehensive medical web application systems for multiple large-scale internal and external facing projects and document the design and specifications for internal and regulatory documentation.
• Participate in the code review process.
• Collaborate with software and cross-functional teams in design and technical reviews.
• Define high-level architecture, design and implement software solutions, assume accountability for the deployment and release of contributed code, and support the post-release lifecycle of our products.
• Mentor and support other engineers on the cloud team in your areas of expertise.
• Maintain familiarity with compliance standards mandated within a regulated medical device environment.
• Contribute code to a medical device software for cloud connectivity, including OTA (Over-the-air updates), Telemetry, User Management, MIoT (Medical Internet of Things), and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) relay.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years’ of work experience; or Masters Degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of work experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Building modern cloud services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Backend web development, including best software engineering practices, efficient object-oriented software design, and building modern back-end systems (Python).
• Building and developing APIs and restful web services (Node.js, Flask/Nginx, Docker, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy).
• Front-end web development (Javascript, Typescript) and modern frameworks (React).
• Working with Product and UI/UX designers, translating wireframes and requirements into web applications.
• Top-notch written and communication skills in English.
• Ability to take part in on-call rotation to maintain service uptime.
• Ability to use and program a computer for 8 hours a day, five days a week.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
Preferred:
• Prior experience working in a regulated environment.
