Job description

Job Title: Medical Device Test Technician (3rd Shift) Location: Portage, MI Type: 12 month contract Compensation: $28-30.61/hour, depending on qualifications Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 3rd shift 10pm - 6:30am, beginning Sunday night and ending Friday morning weekly

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Device Test Technician to perform accelerated life testing on medical devices, consoles, and consumables within a regulated environment. This role is responsible for executing established test procedures, accurately documenting results, and supporting cross-functional communication to ensure testing activities are completed efficiently and in compliance with quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accelerated life testing on medical devices, consoles, and consumables according to established procedures.
  • Record test data accurately and document observations in a clear and organized manner.
  • Monitor and manage test progression through washing, autoclave, and other required testing stages.
  • Independently prioritize testing activities based on workload, equipment availability, and test schedules.
  • Communicate test status, observations, and issues with internal stakeholders and laboratory personnel.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and support documentation requirements within a regulated environment.
  • Follow quality system requirements and laboratory procedures to ensure reliable and repeatable test results.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and assist with test setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to accurately document testing activities.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and perform testing with minimal supervision following training.

Preferred Qualifications
