Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will build, improve, and support cloud-based services that are critical to product performance, reliability, and customer experience. You will contribute to technical design discussions, write high-quality code, and own features through the complete development lifecycle-from implementation to production support. This role will systems that power risk, identity, and fraud-related product experiences.

This is a remote role, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teammates to deliver features and enhancements that support team and business goals.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of scalable cloud services and APIs.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern engineering best practices.
  • Own meaningful features and technical deliverables from development through production rollout and support.
  • Support production systems by monitoring service health, troubleshooting issues, and participating in the team's on-call rotation.
  • Help improve platform performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency through day-to-day engineering work.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and design decisions.
  • Document system behavior, technical decisions, and operational procedures to support team knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with teammates across Engineering, Product, and Data Science to solve complex technical problems and deliver customer value.
  • Contribute to a strong engineering culture built on learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing cloud-based applications in Java, JavaScript, and/or Python.
  • Experience working with AWS services such as compute, storage, database, or serverless technologies.
  • Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs and working with JSON-based systems.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and writing unit and integration tests.
  • Experience with tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Datadog, Jira, and Agile development practices.
