Job Summary

The Engineering Aide - Test will be a critical member of the team supporting Test Engineering in the design and construction of proprietary ATE hardware and software for a variety of analog components and assemblies. This is an exciting position for someone looking to join a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Job Description
  • Assist in the design, construction and support of proprietary Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software for a variety of analog components and assemblies, in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Construct, analyze and debug test and product related circuits. Conduct and document detailed experiments and perform software, hardware and product qualifications.
  • Support Test Engineers with new product development and assist in testing existing products in manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to design, build, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits for product testing. Determine specific test setup requirements, troubleshoot product issues and ensure successful project execution.
  • Build custom test equipment for use in our automated test systems.
  • Document all data and information taken on tests of products along with testing and validating specifications of products.
  • Provide test support to other departments as needed.  
Education / Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in design or test engineering support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in DC-DC power electronics and basic electrical principles.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Proficiency in soldering and a solid understanding of component types and ratings.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and test specifications.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and resolve complex technical problems with minimal supervision.
  • Must be knowledgeable of basic lab equipment such as power supplies, voltmeters, digital multimeters, function generators, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, current probes, and differential probes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are critical for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for schematics and layouts (e.g., Altium, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Visual Basic, and .NET is a plus.

Compensation Data

Salary Range:

$62,000 - $78,000

Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
