Your Role at impact.com:

As an Associate Software Engineer at impact.com, you will be a key contributor to one of our agile engineering squads, helping to develop, test, and maintain the software that powers our industry-leading platform. In this role, you will focus on delivering high-quality code, building meaningful tests, and collaborating with a distributed team to achieve our quarterly objectives.

We are looking for a motivated and curious engineer who is eager to grow their skills. You will have the opportunity to work with Java, Spring, and other modern technologies, gaining practical exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines. This role is perfect for a team player who is comfortable asking "why" to understand the business impact of their work and is passionate about solving complex problems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop & Maintain: Write clean, maintainable code for the impact.com platform, working both independently and while pair programming with senior engineers.
  • Build & Test: Create meaningful unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of your software. You’ll also assist our QA team with testing in staging environments and fixing broken builds.
  • Collaborate & Deliver: Actively participate in an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating with a distributed team of engineers, product managers, and designers to fulfill the squad's quarterly objectives.
  • Triage & Support: Play a crucial role in maintaining platform health by performing triage, verifying bug reports, and implementing fixes.
  • Learn & Grow: Become an expert in the technologies used by your squad and help onboard new team members.
What You Bring:
  • Hard working, passionate & dedicated.
  • Knowledge of Spring Framework
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • 1+ years professional experience using Java and MySQL
  • Experience with any JavaScript frameworks (e.g.,Vue.js, React, Angular)
  • Experience building on cloud platforms, GCP, Azure, or AWS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar, or equivalent work experience
  • Creative, enthusiastic and fun, with attention to detail.

Salary Range:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 base salary + 5% company performance bonus, per year, plus eligibility to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.
