Job Summary:
Evans & Chambers Technology is seeking a highly motivated Software/Web Developer to join their team. The role involves maintaining and enhancing applications and services, focusing on intelligence analysis and collection management for the national defense community.
Responsibilities:
• Supports software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)
• Interacts with customers and development team to gather and define requirements
• Analyzes and studies customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs
• Designs, creates, tests, and maintains software and web based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements
• Follows a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and also adheres to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications (e.g., software reuse, modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant)
• Coordinates creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design
• Designs and develops visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
• Develops and maintains software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades
• Provides software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web development lifecycle
• Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications
• Develops training materials related to Tier 0/1 ensuring they are comprehensive enough for ESOC technical staff are capable of troubleshooting the application
• Participate in DevSecOps processes and practice principles during all design phases
Qualifications:
Required:
• Security clearance status of TS/SCI with a CI polygraph test, must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA
• Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2, experience working on a development team under
• DoD/DIA DevSecOps process, understanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS based architecture
• Active Security+ Certification
• High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of experience
• Associates Degree with 10 years of experience
• Bachelors’ Degree with 8 years of experience
• Masters’ Degree with 6 years of experience
• PhD with 4 years of experience
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or computer science and eight years of comparable work experience.
• Desired skills include up to ten or more years of program/application operations experience.
• Prefer candidates who have experience in the Intelligence Community.
• Candidate must be analytical and effectively able to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.
• Prospective candidates should have strong risk management skills, excellent communication, teamwork and conflict management skills.
