Job Summary

You will play a key role in shaping how our associates use Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform by supporting the operations, configuration, and governance of our core productivity platforms. In this role, you will tackle environment sprawl, design and enforce smart standards and controls, monitor platform health, and help secure our environment by participating in security reviews for apps, automations, and integrations built on these ecosystems.

About our Team

Our team is responsible for the enterprise administration, governance, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services-including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and the Power Platform. We focus on configuring and guiding these platforms by collaborating with our Security and Compliance teams, so they remain secure, reliable, and complaint while delivering real value to our associates.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

This is a great opportunity for a technologist with hands-on experience in cloud platforms to sharpen their skills in modern collaboration ecosystems, M365/Power Platform operations, and governance-focused solution design.

Platform Governance & Administration

  • Administer M365 platforms (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform) and tackle sprawl by identifying unused sites, duplicate teams, and orphaned resources.
  • Develop/roll out governance standards like naming conventions, lifecycle policies, retention, access controls; design/monitor guardrails for compliant, secure usage.

Security & Compliance

  • Participate in security/compliance reviews for Power Platform solutions, custom apps, automations; assess citizen developer risks and recommend fixes.
  • Support audits and internal reviews on platform security/configurations.

Technical Solution Support

  • Troubleshoot issues, research best practices, handle user/business inquiries; build documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and training materials.
  • Assist senior engineers on small projects, configuration updates, and enhancements.

Automation & Optimization

  • Use PowerShell, Power Automate, or low-code tools to automate workflows and reduce manual admin tasks.
  • Analyze usage data to streamline environments and strengthen governance.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud/SaaS platforms like Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID, or similar tools that power modern workplaces (ServiceNow, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Basic experience with (academic or self-taught):
    • Microsoft 365 services administration (Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, etc.)
    • PowerShell or Microsoft Graph API for admin tasks
    • Low-code development (Power Apps, Power Automate)
    • Application security fundamentals (authentication, permissions, data protection)
    • Data analysis (Excel, Power BI, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn enterprise-scale collaboration technologies.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Solid, hands-on experience working in Microsoft 365 administration centers, including Microsoft administration portals, Entra ID and Power Platform, within established or production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting workflows using Power Automate and/or Azure Logic Apps beyond basic or introductory use cases.
  • Working knowledge of information governance concepts, with applied experience supporting data lifecycle management, retention policies, and access controls.
  • Practical experience integrating APIs or contributing to solution lifecycle management efforts in a team or enterprise setting.
  • Relevant certifications, meaningful real-world project experience, or advanced coursework in Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, or security, demonstrating progression beyond entry-level proficiency

The range for this position is $66,500 to $143,600. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
