Overview

Are you ready to join a growing team?

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 6 months

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and implement enterprise applications and system enhancements.
  • Perform systems analysis, application development, technical design, and troubleshooting for complex projects.
  • Serve as a technical lead and individual contributor on software development projects.
  • Collaborate with developers, technology teams, business users, operations, and vendors throughout the SDLC.
  • Develop technical specifications, project plans, estimates, test plans, and system documentation.
  • Analyze application interfaces, integrations, platforms, and dependencies.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions, process improvements, and application enhancements.
  • Manage project milestones, development tasks, testing, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to development standards, risk controls, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Scope of Responsibilities:

Works independently under the direction of a Technology Team Lead on high-level systems analysis and technical development. Coordinates project activities and provides technical guidance to less experienced resources. Partners with technology teams, business stakeholders, senior management, and vendors.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

May coordinate and monitor technical resources and provide project-level technical leadership.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Associate's degree plus 5+ years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with software development, application development, systems analysis, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience coordinating technology solutions with business teams.
  • Experience managing project milestones and delivery schedules.
Education and Experience Preferred:
  • Enterprise application development experience.
  • Knowledge of application frameworks, system integrations, and interfacing applications.
  • Experience supporting complex technology projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, action-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
