Job Description:
We are looking for a Protocol Analyst to work directly with signals analysis, preferably related to communications signals (e.g., bitstream analysis, waveform analysis, protocol analysis), network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and/or network security analysis.
The Protocol Analyst shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Strong understanding of signals analysis.
  • Be well-versed in DVT, WVT, and PKTSWING.
  • Ability to dig into massive sets of hexdump and pick out repeatable sets of data that could be forms of communication hiding in the signal.
  • Strong understanding of telecom-based network analysis, especially the network layer.

Qualifications:
  • Level 1: Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A H.S. diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military training.
  • Level 2: Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A H.S. diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military training.
  • Level 3: Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience. Associates degree with 10 years of relevant experience or H.S. Diploma or GED with 12 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military training.
  • Level 4: Bachelor's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or Masters' degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or Doctoral degree plus 7 years of relevant experience. Associates plus 13 years of relevant experience or H.S. diploma or GED plus 15 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military training.
  • All Levels:
    • Relevant military training includes:
    • Intermediate Signal Analysis (451/461)
    • Advanced Signals Analysis (452)
    • Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP)
    • Bachelor'sDegree must be in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, a Physical Science, or related technical field.
    • Relevant experience must be in signals analysis, including protocol analysis, and also include network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and/or network security analysis.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
