Job description

The role:

The Research Associate/Scientist Iย willย joinย our dynamicย Cell Biologyย teamย andย will report to the Team Lead/Senior Scientist.ย This individualย willย contribute toย diverseย preclinical discovery projects,ย throughย inย vivoย andย in vitroย assays,ย andย willย collaborate closely with severalย otherย research groups. This role willย beย focusedย on designing and executing assays toย validateย therapeutic leadsย for ongoing drug development, as well asย supportingย the Computational Biology team by preparing sequencing libraries.ย ย 

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute variousin vitroimmunoassays with CAR-T cellsย and/or oncolytic virusesย 
  • Prepare genomic librariesย ย 
  • Produce and titer lentivirusย Assistย withinย vivomurine studies and downstream tissue processing and analysis by flowย cytometryย 
  • Maintain multiple tumor cell linesย 
  • Document, analyze, and report experimental dataย in accordance withย SOPsย 
  • Effectivelycommunicate experimental findings in teamandcross-functional meetingsย 

Required experience & skills:

  • Bachelor's orย Master's Degreeย in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or similar fieldย 
  • At least one year of hands-on laboratory experience in related fieldย 
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extractionย and sequencing library generationย 
  • Proficiencyย in mammalian cell culture and diligent aseptic techniquesย 
  • Ability to independently execute and interpret experimental assaysย 
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving,ย planningย and time management skillsย 
  • Collaborative and positive attitude, ability to work in a team, and dedicated work ethic and the desire to work in a flexible and fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentย 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skillsย 

Preferred experience & skills:

  • Prior experience with lentivirus productionย 
  • Mousecell/tissueharvestingandex vivoanalysesย 
  • Proficiencyย in multiparameter flow cytometry and cell sortingย 
  • Experience with T cell functional assays (e.g., cytotoxicity and cytokine assays)ย 
  • Experience with oncolytic virusesย
