Middle School Science Teacher

About the Job

Bultum Academy is a charter school located in Columbia Heights serving students in grades PreK–8. We are entering our second year and are looking for a dedicated and passionate Middle School Science Teacher to join our growing team. Our class sizes range from 15–25 students, allowing teachers to build strong relationships and provide individualized support.

We encourage you to apply if you have a passion for science, enjoy working with middle school students, and are committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, promote critical thinking, and help students develop a strong foundation in science aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards.

We have a supportive administrative team, including our Executive Director, Assistant Director, and Instructional Coach, who are committed to helping teachers succeed and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science lessons.
  • Create a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Instructional Coach and other staff members to improve instruction.
  • Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide activities.
