Job description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe Production Scheduler / Dispatcher is responsible for daily billing prep, confirming readiness and scheduling installation/service. The position will also provide support to the operations in areas such as assisting customers and sales personnel in all aspects of the Installation/Service Process, including product information, availability, scheduling, and/or returns. The position will assist the production team with daily administration and scheduling task.
Essential Functions
  • Will learn from production manager how to effectively schedule and route daily installations
  • Call builders/customers to verify job readiness
  • Will Route/Schedule orders by requested ship date up to two to three days in advance
  • Distribute next day routes to warehouse in a timely manner for picking and pre-stage process
  • Will assist in the check in process each morning
  • Prep completed install orders for the daily billing process
  • Support the month-ending process and participate in each inventory event
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and assist in solving question from customers
  • Answer incoming calls and emails timely & professionally
  • Perform other duties as requested by branch manager
Competencies/Skills/Abilities
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude when calling customer
  • Maintain a cordial tone and positive attitude at all times
  • Must be detail oriented and extremely organized
  • Must accurately take orders and fill out reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to be detail oriented and multi-task, work within specified timeframes
  • Previous Customer Service work experience is required; previous work experience in our industry is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word
