Job Summary:
As a Municipal Syndicate Trade Support Associate within the Municipal Syndicate team, you will play a critical role in supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of municipal bond issuances. You will ensure all new issue activity is accurately captured and that required controls are completed from pricing through settlement. In this role, you will collaborate with Syndicate, Sales & Trading, Operations, and infrastructure partners to deliver smooth execution and exceptional outcomes. You will help maintain the integrity of syndicate activity across systems, manage books and positions, and drive continuous improvement in processes and controls. Your contributions will support a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and teamwork.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately capture municipal new issue transactions, including pricing and trade details, in risk and trade management systems
  • Complete intraday and end-of-day processes, including completeness checks and reconciliations, to ensure syndicate activity is accurately reflected across systems and books/positions are managed appropriately
  • Collaborate with Syndicate, Sales & Trading, Operations, and infrastructure groups to support a "one team" approach and ensure smooth execution from pricing through settlement
  • Perform, evidence, and sign-off on all required controls in a timely manner, escalating breaks or exceptions as needed
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with support teams to resolve queries related to trade breaks, allocation issues, settlement exceptions, and static data/CUSIP matters
  • Participate in and contribute to strategic initiatives, driving process improvements and workflow automation across the municipal primary issuance trade support lifecycle
  • Build an in-depth understanding of municipal syndicate issuance structures and trade economics, including price/yield conventions, settlement timelines, and syndicate allocations

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Understanding of municipal bond primary market products and processes, including order period, pricing, allocations, new issue settlement, and key trade economics (CUSIP, price/yield, settlement date, fees/concessions)
  • Knowledge of front-to-back Operations processes for fixed income securities, including confirmations, settlements, and trade reporting, with the ability to facilitate issue resolution across teams
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate, explain, and challenge constructively
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of ownership
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in relevant technical systems and tools

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience supporting municipal bond syndicate or fixed income trade support functions
  • Familiarity with risk and trade management systems used in municipal bond issuance
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and workflow automation
  • Experience resolving trade breaks, allocation issues, and settlement exceptions
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and functions
  • Exposure to strategic initiatives within Operations or Trade Support
  • Advanced Excel or data analysis skills
