The Role
CertaPro Painters of Hamilton have been consistently growing and as a result, we are looking for a Sales Associate to lead the Residential business in the Hamilton region (Ancaster, Dundas, Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby). This is a sales position responsible for on-site estimating as well as driving sales by developing leads and growing the business through existing relationships. The ideal candidate has a sales or paint industry background, outstanding relationship building skills and a customer-focused approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Maintain open appointment availability for potential customers and achieving sales goals
● Setup initial meetings with prospective clients
● Provide on-site one-on-one customer consultations
● Create a customized and detailed proposal for customers based on their needs
● Develop solutions that are consistent with the client’s preference and budget
● Suggest applicable and relevant alternatives options where appropriate
● Close the sale successfully
● Collect job information for handoff to production team and maintain a positive working relationship with them
● Support the production crew with clarity on scope of work for painting projects
● Manage relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and work is completed satisfactorily
● Facilitate the resolution of Customer Complaints in a timely manner
● Ensure up-to-date client information and communication is captured in our software
● Effectively prioritize, manage, and convert different stages of the sales cycle with target customers and projects in the pipeline
● Build relationships with customers for future opportunities
● Support CertaPro marketing and business development initiatives
● Be accountable to the manager for meeting weekly, monthly and annual goals
● Attend home shows and similar events throughout the year as required
Qualifications & Experience
● 3-5 years experience in in-home sales within the home improvement industry
● Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
● Results oriented – able to set, meet and exceed goals
● Project, time management, and problem-solving skills
● Customer focus and good negotiation skills
● Detailed oriented, organized and energetic
● Good computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM knowledge (an asset)
Requirements
● Valid driver’s license
● Access to reliable vehicle (including car insurance)
● Available to work full time with occasional evenings and weekends

● Base salary $50-$60k plus commission
