Job description

Sales Development Representative – Townsquare Interactive

Location: In-office role at our Uptown Charlotte office

Uncover New Opportunities & Build Your Sales Career!

This role is centered around developing new business opportunities from the ground up. As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be trained to identify, engage, and qualify potential clients—building a strong foundation in prospecting and sales strategy.

Through hands-on training and ongoing coaching, you'll hone your ability to uncover client needs, position solutions effectively, and guide prospects through the full sales lifecycle. As you grow in the role, you'll take ownership of the entire process—from first conversation to closing new business—bringing on new clients and directly impacting company growth.

Why Townsquare Interactive?

We're on a mission to help small and medium-sized businesses grow and succeed. Our all-in-one business management platform enhances customer flow, while our digital marketing services drive more customers to them—like website design, SEO, social media, and reputation management. We take the stress out of promoting their business so they can focus on what they do best.

Our Competitive Advantage:

  • Training & Development: From day one, you'll receive best-in-class training built to make you an expert in the full sales cycle and digital marketing landscape. Whether you're new to sales or experienced, the development here goes beyond onboarding — building skills that drive long-term career success.
  • Culture: We hire for character, coachability, and accountability — creating a collaborative, team-first environment where people genuinely support one another. Strong culture leads to real friendships, shared wins, and a workplace people enjoy showing up to.
  • Opportunity & Stability: Established for over a decade yet still operating with a high-growth mindset, this is a ground-floor opportunity within a multi-million-dollar organization. Backed by publicly traded Townsquare Media, we offer the resources, stability, and long-term investment needed to grow your career.
  • Impactful Solutions: Our evolving digital marketing and business management solutions help over 20,000 small and mid-sized businesses grow month after month — proving the value and real-world impact of what we deliver.
  • Giving Back: At Townsquare, YOU Matter. Through hands-on volunteer events, Mission Mondays, and Volunteer Time Off, employees make meaningful community impact while building strong team connections.

What You'll Do:

  • Learn the sales process through hands-on training and live coaching
  • Make outbound calls to small business owners and introduce them to our digital marketing platform
  • Discover client needs and tailor solutions that drive real results
  • Conduct virtual demos and close new business
  • Focus on new client acquisition (no account management)

What You'll Bring:

  • A self-starter mindset with a drive to learn and grow
  • Confidence and resilience in outbound prospecting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Curiosity and coachability
  • Prior sales or customer-facing experience (preferred, not required)
  • A BA/BS degree (preferred but not required)

What's In It for You?

We know sales is a grind, but the rewards are real. Here's what you get:

  • Competitive base salary + UNCAPPED commissions (your effort = your paycheck)
  • 3 weeks PTO + 9 paid holidays (including 2 personal days)
  • Volunteer Time Off—give back to your community
  • Health, Dental, Vision, and Pet Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match + Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Company-provided laptop
  • Comprehensive training program to help you master your craft
  • Clear paths for advancement—grow your career right here

Ready to Grow Your Sales Career?

If you're motivated to develop new business, build meaningful client connections, and grow into a full-cycle sales professional, we'd love to connect. Join Townsquare Interactive and be part of a team that's helping small businesses thrive—while accelerating your own career.
