Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Hours may vary based on audits, training needs, and operational requirements.)

Position Overview

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supporting site safety programs to ensure compliance with company policies, Tyson Foods Safety Management Systems, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role helps drive a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, implementing corrective actions, conducting training, and providing safety-related guidance and analysis to plant leadership and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain site safety programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and support accident prevention efforts.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and statistical data.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
  • Identify potential workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Facilitate safety training programs, including:
    • Ergonomics
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • Hazard Communication
    • Emergency Response
    • General Safety Awareness
  • Support new hire safety orientation and onboarding.
  • Analyze safety performance metrics, leading indicators, and lagging indicators.
  • Communicate safety trends and recommendations to plant leadership.
  • Coordinate implementation of hazard control measures and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide guidance regarding federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
  • Develop expertise in Tyson Foods Safety Management System elements.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to workplace safety.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of safety experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices.
  • Experience with incident investigations and hazard identification.
  • Strong computer skills, including:
