The incumbent will oversee resource allocation, monitor progress, and influence decision-making to optimize outcomes while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards. This leadership role supports innovation and operational excellence within the technology domain.

The Marketplace seller risk team enhances trust within the marketplace by developing technology, tools, frameworks, and experiences that enable sellers to list and sell while maintaining a healthy platform ecosystem. This team integrates expertise across technology, business strategy, product development, data science, and engineering to support long-term marketplace excellence. Members collaborate to design innovative solutions that balance operational efficiency and risk management, ensuring a secure and reliable environment for all stakeholders. The team’s work drives continuous improvement and aligns with strategic objectives to foster sustainable growth and platform integrity.
What you'll do:
  • Decision Integrity, Risk Intelligence: Drive improvements to decision quality and policy by analyzing lifecycle behaviors and outcomes (e.g., disputes, claims, litigation) and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Risk Assessment, Prioritization: Lead risk assessments to identify and prioritize trends impacting safety, fairness, and platform integrity across technology and process workflows.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams to translate strategic objectives into scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technology solutions ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
  • Monitor program progress, assess risks, implement mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.

What you'll bring:
  • 7-10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, product strategy, business operations, analytics, ecommerce, marketplaces, or related fields.
  • You are highly analytical and comfortable using data to inform decisions.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing to build consensus and drive action.
  • Expertise in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and program monitoring to ensure successful delivery.
  • Deep understanding of business operations, performance measurement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technology solutions and measurable outcomes.
