Job description

Director Of Credit Card Management

The Director of Credit Card Management provides strategic leadership and governance for the enterprise-wide corporate credit card program, overseeing several thousand cardholders. The role ensures operational excellence, compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and robust risk mitigation across all program activities. This position leads a dedicated professional team, manages key banking relationships, and drives program performance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that support organizational financial control and efficiency.

Job Will Remain Open Until Filled

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and daily management of the corporate credit card program to ensure operational excellence, policy adherence, and risk mitigation

Lead, mentor, and develop a professional team to foster accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement

Oversee issuance, maintenance, monitoring, and lifecycle management of corporate credit cards to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance

Maintain, update, and enhance program policies, procedures, governance documentation, and training materials to align with regulations and organizational needs

Serve as primary liaison with banking partners by managing relationships, resolving escalations, and negotiating program terms or enhancements

Monitor program performance, cardholder activity, compliance trends, and risk indicators while preparing and presenting reporting to senior leadership

Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and internal controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and program integrity

Support internal and external audits by coordinating documentation, responding to requests, and ensuring timely corrective action

Qualifications

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree

Experience Requirements: 4โ€“6 years experience in relevant field

Travel requirement: No travel requirements

Supervisor Responsibility

Direct Reports: Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports: May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Required Knowledge and Skills

Extensive knowledge of corporate credit card administration and expense management programs

Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance standards, and risk management practices

Experience leading and developing teams

Expertise in vendor and banking relationship management

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
