A Brief Overview
The Senior Compliance Associate performs compliance monitoring tests to assist with evaluating the Bank's compliance practices. Evaluates the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Bank's compliance related processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role also assists with guiding Compliance Associates in the completion of monitoring procedures. The Senior Compliance Associates will be part of the Compliance Department of the Risk Management Division where the primary focus is helping to protect the Bank against undue risk exposure.
What you will do
  • Conduct compliance monitoring tests to evaluate the Bank's adherence to regulatory compliance regulations.
  • Research laws, regulations, policies, and industry standards.
  • Gather data, identify and recommend solutions, and document relevant information for compliance monitoring tests through a variety of methods including interviews, research, downloads, etc.
  • Collaborate with Bank management to identify practical corrective actions to address recommendations, evaluate management's action plans for sufficiency, and assist in maintaining a system to monitor the disposition of such corrective actions.
  • Prepare compliance monitoring reports for presentation to senior management, and the Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
  • Assist in training of employees to promote awareness of the Bank's Compliance Management Program and related regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate and assist in the administrative duties of the department.

Other Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Business and minimum 5 years bank compliance preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
