Role Summary
As an Associate Insurance Advisor, you are a consultative expert within the Rivian Agency, responsible for analyzing complex customer needs, designing tailored coverage solutions, and serving as the authoritative resource on intricate multi-state regulatory and underwriting matters. You are an insurance consultant capable of solving difficult challenges that come with complex multi-state distribution. You will work alongside our Advisors and CSRs.
Responsibilities
  • Consultative Advising: Lead the charge in assessing client risk profiles, designing customized coverage solutions, and recommending appropriate policy structure and carrier partner.
  • Case Management: Use judgment to serve as the go-to expert for "corner case" scenarios by evaluating risk, assessing and choosing appropriate coverage structures and making recommendations, including high-limit policies, complex multi-policy/multi-state accounts, with unique underwriting challenges.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a technical resource for the broader customer-facing Rivian teams, providing clarity on intricate insurance regulations and product nuances, while maintaining a fast-paced environment.
  • Consultative Advocacy: Interact with carrier partners as a high-level advocate for our customers, ensuring even the most complex risks are placed correctly and efficiently.
  • Execution excellence: Contribute to the successful execution and sales growth of Rivian Insurance.
  • Operational Quality: Maintain meticulous documentation standards, prioritizing compliance and quality to uphold Rivian's premium brand reputation.
  • Customer Ambassadorship: Deliver service that exceeds expectations, turning complex problem-solving into long-term brand advocacy through diligent follow-up.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-5 years of demonstrated sales experience in P&C insurance (Personal Lines).
  • Licensing: Active resident P&C insurance license is required. Proven experience maintaining active non-resident licenses across a broad range of states is highly preferred.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of P&C products and underwriting guidelines across multiple carriers.
  • Composure: The ability to remain calm and consultative under pressure.
    Active Listening: Exceptional skills in filtering information during conversations to highlight key coverage points and build immediate trust.
  • Education: BA/BS in Business, Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Flexibility: Willing and able to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays to support the vehicle delivery mission.

Pay Disclosure
The salary range for this role is - for Illinois and Atlanta based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees.
