Position Summary
Dana Safety Supply is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety & Risk Manager to lead the organization's risk management, insurance, workers' compensation, and safety initiatives. This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating operational, legal, and employee-related risks while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation, liability claims management, insurance administration, OSHA compliance, and loss prevention, with the ability to partner across all levels of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Administer the company's enterprise risk management program.
  • Manage all workers' compensation claims from injury through resolution.
  • Coordinate return-to-work and modified duty programs.
  • Oversee general liability, auto liability, property, and other insurance claims.
  • Serve as the primary contact with insurance brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, and legal counsel.
  • Analyze claims trends and develop strategies to reduce claim frequency and costs.
  • Coordinate annual insurance renewals and assist with underwriting data collection.
  • Maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and ensure compliance with customer insurance requirements.
  • Develop and implement accident prevention and loss control programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other workplace safety regulations.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments of company operations, facilities, and business processes.
  • Develop policies and procedures to minimize operational and financial risks.
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting employment practices and workplace safety.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on claims, insurance costs, safety metrics, and risk exposure.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Fleet, and Legal on risk-related initiatives.
  • Assist with due diligence activities during acquisitions and integration of newly acquired companies.
  • Coordinate business continuity and emergency response planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
