Job description

Job Description
The selected candidate will perform non-routine complex assignments including test and troubleshooting of complex precision electronic circuit cards, subsystems and systems in the Digital and RF Domain. The candidate will acquire product knowledge, use and advance their technical skills while performing their assigned responsibilities in the product development on advanced projects.
The duties assigned to the Engineering Technologist, and their responsibilities include:
* Conducts tests and/or experiments on electronic systems and subsystems by following published test procedures and requirements.
* Develops and recommends inputs to technical documentation to include: test procedures, work instructions, technical directives, bulletins, white papers, reports, and engineering drawing packages.
* Troubleshoots and tests a wide variety of highly complex assemblies and systems using electro-mechanical, electronic and/or inspection instruments requiring technical skill and experience to obtain desired results.
* Test and debug experience is required in the Digital and RF domain, including ability to use related tools (i.e. scopes, meters).
* Analyzes results and make recommend design revisions or modifications to equipment to improve/enhance performance. Implements recommendations/design changes with collaboration with Design Engineers and with Program approval.
* Compiles, reviews, analyzes and presents a wide variety of complex engineering data required to achieve engineering objectives.
* Oversee day-to-day technician activities for programs, delegate tasks to other technicians, ensuring priority tasks are covered.
* Provides Mentorship to lower level technicians and engineers
* Support engineering investigations to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions
* Review and provide technical feedback to engineering change requests and proposals
* Support tasks such as familiarity with parts procurement, component assembly, fabrication processes and circuit test using standard lab equipment are required.
* The candidate shall be able to perform well within a team environment and possess excellent written and communication skills.
* Ability to interface with varying engineering disciplines.

Required Skills and Education
* High School Diploma plus (8) years of related experience.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Support of test and troubleshooting of systems, modules and/or sub-assemblies
* Experience working in production and engineering environments
Preferred Skills and Education
* Bachelor's Degree / Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience.
* Experience to develop and execute test procedures for system verification.
* Experience with microwave testing using Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Synthesizers, Power Meters, etc.
* Experience with transitioning new designs from development to small and large-scale production.
