Key responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting through pitching, coordinating with internal stakeholders on IO agreements, and handing off to account management

  • Own your book of business and keep your Salesforce pipeline reflecting the real state of each deal

  • Sell across Unity's full set of ad products, recommending the channel that fits each advertiser's goal

Job description

The opportunity

Unity is the largest real-time 3D engine on the planet, and our advertising business puts that reach to work. Join our AdSales team, part of the wider Grow organization, as a Senior Account Executive growing our advertiser partnerships. You will find new partners, build the relationships, negotiate, and close, helping advertisers reach their user acquisition and app install growth targets. This is performance work, so the results you are judged on are the ones your advertisers care about most: installs, purchases, and genuine incremental value.

You will sell across our full set of ad products, from our core network and its machine learning powered optimization, to an on-device channel that reaches people as they set up a new phone, to reward-based offers that can be pointed at almost any goal in an app or on the web, to CTV. When one channel is tapped out, you have somewhere else to take the conversation. We work with advertisers across gaming, commerce, finance, and consumer apps, and we want you to help us grow that list.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting through pitching, coordinating with internal stakeholders on IO agreements, and handing off to account management

  • Own your book of business and keep your Salesforce pipeline reflecting the real state of each deal

  • Sell across our full set of ad products, recommending the channel that genuinely fits each advertiser's goal

  • Look continuously for new sales verticals that can benefit from Unity's suite of ad products

  • Become highly proficient in user acquisition, growth, and the mobile industry, using industry news to tailor your approach

  • Represent Unity at industry events and conferences, and manage our team's presence at each one

  • Use internal BI, AI and analytical tools to inform business decisions

What we're looking for
  • Sales or business development experience in gaming, advertising, affiliate, agency, or partnerships, with a proven track record of consistently reaching sales quotas

  • Strong understanding of how mobile ad networks operate, including ad products such as CPI, CPA, and CPE, ad serving technology, ad exchanges, and programmatic advertising

  • Familiarity with attribution models and mobile measurement partners, and comfort optimizing toward ROAS and down-funnel events

  • Ability to understand and articulate technical products to app developers

  • Ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a fast paced environment, across short and long sales cycles

  • Skilled at networking and building industry relationships that turn into long term partnerships

  • Ability to leverage AI tools across all job functions for improved efficiency and performance

You might also have
  • Experience at another ad network selling performance to app advertisers

  • Familiarity with gaming advertisers, or with rewarded and offer wall formats

  • Experience with CTV, or with on-device and carrier channels

Base Salary Range: We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location:

Zone B: $120,100 - $180,100 USD gross
Zone C: $130,000 - $195,000 USD gross

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate's relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
