Nature & Scope:
Positional Overview
The Imagine Group is hiring a Remote Mortgage Closing Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading financial organization in Buffalo, New York. Successful candidates will serve as a liaison for the gathering of information for submission of loans for Closing Disclosure (CD) Issuance. They will collaborate with applicable parties to meet target close date through time management of tasks and pipeline reporting, while ensuring accuracy of data being submitted for CD Issuance: homeowners, taxes, fees, payoffs and applicable invoices for third party fees.

Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
  • Prepare and issue initial and final Closing Disclosures (CDs).
  • Assemble and complete final residential mortgage closing packages.
  • Review loan files to ensure compliance with investor, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, settlement agents, brokers, title companies, and internal partners to facilitate timely closings.
  • Obtain and review required closing documentation, including title, tax, insurance, flood, payoff, and employment verification information.
  • Monitor rate lock and document expiration dates to help ensure closing timelines are met.
  • Communicate proactively with settlement agents to gather fees and closing information for Closing Disclosure preparation.
  • Track closing milestones and communicate schedule changes to all appropriate parties.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent residential mortgage closing experience.
  • Experience preparing both initial and final Closing Disclosures.
  • Experience producing complete final mortgage closing packages.
  • Strong understanding of residential mortgage closing processes and regulatory requirements.
    Ability to review loan documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Education and Experience Preferred
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Previous experience working for a mortgage lender, title company, or settlement agency.
  • Knowledge of mortgage products, investor guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with mortgage closing software and related systems.
  • Customer service experience within the mortgage or financial services industry.
