Leola, PA, will soon be home to Dart's new paper plate manufacturing Center of Excellence! This industry-leading facility will be an efficient manufacturing powerhouse, built to meet the growing demand for paper-based food and beverage packaging.
As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes operate at peak performance. In this highly visible role, you'll leverage data analytics, reliability engineering principles, and structured problem-solving to identify trends, eliminate failures, and drive continuous improvement across the operation. You will work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to proactively analyze maintenance and production data, reduce downtime, and improve the lifecycle performance of critical assets-from startup through full production maturity.

What You'll Do - Results & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain lifecycle asset management processes for equipment and systems
  • Lead Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies and implement maintenance strategies
  • Apply FMEA, RCA, and risk analysis to reduce failures and improve equipment uptime
  • Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs using performance data
  • Manage and execute moderate-size reliability projects on time and within scope
  • Review engineering designs and recommend reliability and efficiency improvements
  • Evaluate and implement reliability tools, software, and maintenance technologies
  • Create test parameters and support validation of engineering solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and GMP requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and lead structured problem-solving efforts
  • Deliver measurable results aligned with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with three (3) years of related engineering experience, OR
  • Associate's degree with nine (9) years of related engineering experience
  • Experience applying Preventative Maintenance (PM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs
  • Knowledge of engineering science and technology principles and their practical manufacturing applications
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis
  • Experience with design techniques, technical drawings, and precision plans
  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost optimization
  • Strong logical reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in English to ensure effective safety and quality communication

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools for reliability analysis and reporting
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master certification
  • Experience in plastics extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, paper printing, or paper converting processes
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification
  • Certifications in Predictive Maintenance Technologies
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
