Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity to join the F18 Record team in San Antonio, TX as an Associate Level Quality Systems Specialist.
Responsible for the management and sustainment of all aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, aircraft maintenance files, records and reports, directives and correspondence in an aircraft maintenance and operations environment in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2 series and applicable instructions. Utilize the current management information system(s) to maintain aircraft forms and records as required by the United States Government (USG) NAVAIR customer. Review contract, program and customer requirements to develop an F/A-18 Logs and Records Process to ensure Quality involvement in program success. Draft and submit aircraft/engine management and Inventory Reporting System reports to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements. Process readiness documents, administer the aircraft configuration status accounting program and verify aircraft utilization reports. Monitor aircraft configuration status and aircraft inventory data for accuracy. Monitor, verify and log Support Equipment Custody records, Aviation Armament Equipment, aircraft inventory records and Technical Directives as applicable. Provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction as required. Perform data processing, data entry and administrative support in several systems. Comply with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste Program, and Tool Control Programs. Comply with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility and job assignment. Maintain, update and monitor all F/A-18 PEMAs (Portable Electronic Maintenance Aid).
Position Responsibilities:
  • Supports reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements in the development of quality assurance plans.
  • Assists with maintenance of Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics.
  • Collects data to support analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of routine problems.
  • Collects data to support research and analysis of performance reports to improve process capability.
  • Collects data to support Quality source selection activity.
  • Supports preparation for hardware, software and system level audits.
  • Compiles data for material review disposition.
  • Works under close supervision.

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience working with quality and/or manufacturing data systems.
  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Must have military Logs & Records keeping experience (Navy preferred)
  • Available for variable shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • Experience working both independently and in team environments.
  • Excellent written/ verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer service.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience , 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
