About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Associate Python Developer to join the growing Core Operations Technology team. This individual will have foundational experience in Python programming and a passion for building scalable, high-performance applications. This roles collaborates with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Debug and resolve issues in existing code.
  • Collaborate with team members on code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes.
  • Participate in the development of REST APIs, web services, and data processing pipelines.
  • Assist in writing unit tests and automated test cases to ensure quality and performance.
  • Support the integration of third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Maintain version control using Git and follow CI/CD practices.
  • Work with Lambda functions for serverless computing tasks.
  • Manage and interact with AWS S3 buckets for file storage and retrieval.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • 1-2 years of Python development experience, including Python, web scraping tools (Playwright, Selenium), REST APIs, JSON, and Git
  • Working knowledge of SQL and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Linux and Unix environments, and web frameworks such as Flask or Django
  • Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, S3, and serverless application development; familiar with Azure or GCP is a plus
  • Exposure to testing frameworks such as pytest and unittest, Docker, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
