Associate Project Engineer

 

Can you wire electrical panels or control panels? Are you experienced with hand tools? Able to read and interpret blueprints?

You could be our next Associate Project Engineer!

Kirby Risk Service Center, a division of Kirby Risk Corporation specializing in electrical wiring, control panel, and mechanical manufacturing.


What You’ll Do as an Associate Project Engineer

You’ll effectively read and translate blueprint information and/or visual aids to assemble and test technical assemblies.

You’ll:

  • Assemble electric control panels to customer prints and specifications
  • Use standard panel assembly tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, wire strippers, etc.)
  • Read prints and a tape measure (metric and English)
  • Apply tools from Lean Manufacturing to solve problems and improve operations

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing business operations and processes
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates computer skills and aptitude; MS Office; knowledge of CAD or wire harness software
  • Exhibits professionalism when representing the company in all communications with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Read and interpret a blueprint and/or wire schematic

What to Expect in This Role

  • Primarily onsite, indoors, controlled temperature environment
  • Ability to push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and work with arms at or above shoulder height for extended periods
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the role in a work environment with a variation of noise levels including high to moderate noise due to hand tools, machinery, heavy equipment, moving motorized vehicles, alarms, vibration, and general conversations
  • Schedule: 1st Shift
