An Associate Project Manager at Siemens is responsible for the coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects of varying complexities. For projects with a financial impact of less than $100K, the Associate Project Manager holds fiscal cost reporting responsibilities for all project facets, including project billing, job responsibility, and overall customer satisfaction.
As the Associate Project Manager, you will:
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team, identifying time-sensitive installation requirements.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct orientations for project technicians and provide comprehensive project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, and project contacts.
  • Track resources and project progress.
  • Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing, collaborating with the Accounting team and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate degree
  • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • 3+ years of technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
  • NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred

The pay range for this position is $55,264 - $94,738 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
