Job Summary
Paligen Technologies is seeking an organized and proactive Project Coordinator I to support a large, technically complex industrial and chemical‑related construction program. This is an entry‑level to early‑career role, ideal for someone developing their project management skillset and eager to work within a structured Program Management Team and Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. The Project Coordinator focuses on documentation, scheduling support, communication flow, and compliance reporting. The role provides essential administrative and coordination support to engineering, procurement, program management, and construction leadership teams. Experience supporting technical programs or familiarity with industrial/construction documentation is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support amp; Coordination
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules, milestone tracking, and task lists.
  • Support IPT meetings by preparing agendas, capturing action items, and coordinating follow‑up.
  • Help maintain project documentation, drawing updates, logs, and reporting tools.
  • Facilitate internal communication between program management, engineering, procurement, and onstruction teams.
Documentation amp; Controls
  • Manage routing, tracking, and version control of project documents (RFIs, submittals, transmittals, revisions).
  • Maintain organized repositories for project files, dashboards, and communications.
  • Support reporting requirements related to U.S. Government (USG) compliance, quality standards, and internal audit readiness.
Schedule amp; Budget Assistance
  • Assist in updating project schedules and supporting look‑ahead planning.
  • Help monitor progress updates from internal teams and contracted partners.
  • Support basic cost‑tracking tasks such as invoice reviews, purchase requests, and budget logs.
Communication amp; Reporting
  • Prepare weekly and monthly internal reports summarizing status, issues, and schedule highlights.
  • Assist with presentations, data summaries, and briefings for internal program reviews.
  • Ensure effective communication flow within the Program Management Team.
Risk amp; Issue Tracking
  • Help record project risks, issues, and mitigation actions.
  • Track closure and follow‑up of action items and program‑level changes.
  • Coordinate administrative support for issue resolution across IPTs.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 0–4 years of experience supporting projects (construction, industrial, engineering, or technical environments preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to support multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with common software tools such as Excel, MS Project, SharePoint, and similar platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively within multi‑disciplinary internal teams.
Preferred
  • Exposure to construction, industrial, chemical, or defense‑related program environments.
  • Familiarity with USG reporting requirements, quality documentation, or controlled document workflows.
