Job description

Rain for Rent® Sales Associates maintain and develops customer and prospect relationships in order to increase revenues in assigned geographical territory tied to zip codes in that area. Communicates key market conditions, opportunities and threats to management, along with recommended plans and activities to respond appropriately. Collaborates with operations and other staff to exceed expectations of customers, suppliers and co-workers in accordance with the Company Mission, Vision, and Values, including being an active leader in Safety programs and behavior. Sales Associate position acts with a hunter mentality with the goals of increasing; number of customers, rental revenue, and diversifying into new market segments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs and engages with all assigned training and development programs. Fully utilizes and can competently explain the sales tools and processes.
• Completion of initial and continuing education on product specifications, equipment applications, and market segment drivers.

• Plan, promote, develop, and execute sale and rental of Company products and services (including design, installation, operation) in order to increase in new accounts and expand business with repeat customers.
• Grow revenues and share of wallet with key branch, regional and national accounts within assigned Territory.
• Travels throughout territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
• Ensures that all Marketing leads and opportunities are qualified and reported on within ZOHO CRM.
• Actively participates in business development opportunities such as Lunch and Learn (2 per month), Product Demonstrations (12 per month), Trade Associations and Shows.
• Communicate business strategies using ZOHO CRM regarding all activities, leads, opportunities, market opportunities, competition activity and new product opportunities.
• Assist Sales and Marketing management teams in carrying out additional duties as assigned related to market research, product development testing and launches.
• Work with Branch and Office Managers on timely collection of accounts receivables.
• Timely acquisition of field signatures on quotes, change orders, invoices (if required).
• Conduct pricing and quoting with the Rain for Rent Quoting System to meet profit objectives for the assigned territory.
• Develop relationships and revenues by regular face-to-face, quality sales calls.
• Thoroughly and accurately detail the terms and conditions of each quote to satisfy the customer and limit the Company’s exposure and risk.
• Manage and maintain customer ZOHO CRM database, accurately including all relevant information enabling an effective sales process for all.
• Other duties as assigned in support of the operation.
