Location - This position is in-person and is located in Edmonton, Alberta at the Dianne & Irving Kipnes Health Research Academy and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic.

The School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time tenure track-faculty position in Prosthodontics at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.

The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry is one of the world's top academic health science centres. Applicants will have graduated from an accredited DDS/DMD specialty program and have relevant postgraduate and clinical qualifications in the specialty of prosthodontics or an equivalent level as specified by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta (CDSA). Consideration will be given to applicants with a PhD degree and teaching experience in prosthodontics.

Applicants will have a record of, or potential for, scholarly contribution in the area of Prosthodontics, and evidence of ability to provide high-quality undergraduate and graduate-level teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise graduate students and involve them in their program of research.

The position is located on an Alberta Health Services (AHS) site. Compliance with AHS Workplace Health & Safety policies are in effect.
 

The successful candidate will be offered a tenured or tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, including a comprehensive benefits package.

The terms and conditions of this appointment are governed by Schedule A of the collective agreement between the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and the Association of Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop a viable and productive research program, for which start-up funds will be available. The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest and aptitude for clinical and didactic teaching in Prosthodontics. Time allocation for private practice / Professional (Clinical) Practice will be integrated into this appointment.
