Summary
Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! The Marine Services Operations (MSO) trades teams provide expert solutions on shipboard alterations and installations for fleet modernization. The Production Scheduler candidate will develop, maintain, and report on project schedules and progress in a shipyard environment, utilizing NAVSEA standards and various software tools while ensuring clear communication. This is a full-time position, located in Everett/Seattle, WA area.
*This position does not provide relocations assistance.
What You Will Do
  • Develop and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) Responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining detailed production schedules that ensure timely execution of installation milestones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track progress, mitigate risks, and drive schedule compliance aligned with contract and program requirements.
  • Utilize scheduling and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel).
  • Assist project team with developing and maintaining contract deliverables for various projects.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling accuracy and efficiency.

What You Must Have
  • Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must have experience and knowledge with Microsoft office.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and/or blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of production workflows and scheduling best practices.
  • Ability to work in a shipyard industrial environment to attend on-site meetings and coordinate scheduling reports, as needed.
  • Must have experience with the planning, development, and maintenance of production schedules.
  • Knowledge and experience using Scheduling and Program Management tools such as MS Project.

Bonus Points For
  • Full understanding of NAVSEA 9090-310 standards, related to formatting the Plan of Action and Milestones.
  • At least 5 years of direct work experience.
  • A current, active DoD secret security clearance or higher.
  • Experience using Visio.
