Position Summary

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure customer orders are completed on time while maximizing efficiency and resource utilization. This role works closely with production, purchasing, inventory, engineering, and customer service to monitor production progress, resolve scheduling issues, and expedite materials and work orders to meet delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and inventory levels.
  • Release and prioritize work orders to the production floor.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address changes in demand, material shortages, equipment downtime, or labor availability.
  • Expedite materials, components, and work orders to eliminate production delays.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and purchased components.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and inventory personnel to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Track production performance and communicate schedule changes to internal departments.
  • Ensure customer delivery dates are met while balancing production efficiency.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Prepare production reports, scheduling metrics, and performance dashboards.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide scheduling updates.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing lead times and improving ontime delivery.
  • Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or expediting.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • APICS/ASCM certification is a plus.
