PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry.  We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as brick and associated products manufactured by others.  We operate in 13 states with a philosophy that we are much more than a brick manufacturer and distributor.

Summary

We are seeking a "best in class" Production Supervisor that supervises and coordinates activities of subordinate associates engaged in operating various machines to manufacture products. Oversees the daily production activities of a plant or department. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations. Not only will your efforts allow us to achieve organizational efficiency, you will nurture the pleasant work environment our people love.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) This is a safety sensitive position.

         Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

         Suggests changes in conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.

         Recommends and implements new procedures.

         Confers with other supervisors/management to coordinate activities of department

         Ensure department and workplace safety by adhering to all federal, state, local, and Acme Brick Company policies and procedures.

         Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist associates in solving work related problems.

Skills and Experience Required for Success

         2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing

         Develop a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual's strengths to the benefit of the team.

         Proficient using MS Office.
