Job description

Associate Product Manager, Data Accelerators

Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory provides trusted content, software, analytics, and workflow solutions that help legal, regulatory, and compliance professionals make better decisions and improve outcomes.

As an Associate Product Manager, Data Accelerators, you will support the rapid discovery, design, prototyping, and validation of AI-powered product opportunities. This role is part of the Data Accelerators team, which helps explore the art of possibleby converting customer problems, business ideas, and emerging workflow opportunities into working proof-of-concepts.

Unlike a traditional Associate Product Manager role, this position is highly execution-oriented. You will work closely with Product, Editorial, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, subject matter experts, and customers to quickly test new ideas, demonstrate potential value, gather feedback, and help determine which concepts should progress toward the product roadmap.

This position requires strong product thinking, technical curiosity, customer empathy, practical AI knowledge, and the ability to move quickly from ambiguity to tangible outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to identify customer problems, workflow gaps, and high-value opportunities for AI-enabled solutions.
  • Translate ambiguous business needs into clear problem statements, lightweight requirements, user flows, and proof-of-concept plans.
  • Support customer discovery sessions, solution workshops, and internal innovation discussions.
  • Build and iterate working AI-powered proof-of-concepts that demonstrate feasibility, user experience, and business value.
  • Collaborate with Editorial and subject matter experts to understand domain content, validation needs, quality expectations, and user workflows.
  • Apply practical AI approaches to support content enrichment, structured outputs, research workflows, review workflows, and decision-support use cases.
  • Present prototypes and demos to internal stakeholders, customers, sales teams, and product leadership.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from users, customers, SMEs, and stakeholders to refine concepts and inform product direction.
  • Create lightweight documentation covering workflow design, assumptions, risks, data needs, validation findings, and implementation considerations.
  • Partner with Engineering to assess feasibility and support the transition of validated concepts into product planning.
  • Work with Sales and Customer Success to support customer-facing innovation discussions and demonstrations.
  • Identify reusable patterns, workflows, prompts, schemas, and solution approaches that can accelerate future Data Accelerator initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging AI capabilities and evaluate their relevance to legal, regulatory, compliance, and professional workflows.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Product Management, or a related field required. Advanced degree or related AI/product experience a plus.

2-3 years of experience in product management, applied AI, data science, software development, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a related innovation role.

  • Experience building, supporting, or validating prototypes, demos, internal tools, or proof-of-concepts.
  • Working understanding of generative AI and its practical application to business workflows.
  • Ability to translate business problems into clear solution concepts and actionable requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Editorial, Sales, and customer-facing teams.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where requirements, success criteria, and solution direction may evolve quickly.
  • Strong individual contributor with a bias toward action, experimentation, and measurable outcomes.

Compensation:

$68,900.00 - $118,050.00 USDThis role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
