What does an Associate Production Manager do?

An Associate Production Manager assists in overseeing the production process within a company or organization, ensuring that manufacturing or project goals are met efficiently and on schedule. Their responsibilities often include coordinating between different departments, monitoring workflow, addressing production issues, and supporting the Production Manager with day-to-day operations. They may also help with quality control, inventory management, and maintaining safety standards. This role is essential for keeping production running smoothly and meeting organizational targets.

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

Associate Production Managers typically do not earn $300,000 annually; such high salaries are more common in executive roles or specialized fields like senior management, engineering, or finance. High-paying jobs often require extensive experience, advanced skills, and sometimes certifications. Salary levels vary based on industry, location, and company size.

What do you do as a production manager?

A production manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing or production processes to ensure products are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They manage staff, monitor production schedules, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety compliance, often using tools like production management software. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Associate Production Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Associate Production Manager, you need strong organizational abilities, a solid understanding of production processes, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering or business. Familiarity with production management software, ERP systems, and lean manufacturing principles is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills help you coordinate teams and resolve issues efficiently. These competencies ensure smooth production workflows, cost-effectiveness, and the achievement of quality standards in manufacturing environments.

What are some common challenges Associate Production Managers face when coordinating between different departments?

Associate Production Managers often serve as key liaisons between production, design, and logistics teams. A common challenge is ensuring clear communication so that timelines, resources, and expectations are aligned across all departments. Balancing competing priorities and quickly resolving unforeseen issues, such as delays in materials or changes in design, requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Successfully navigating these challenges not only supports smooth production flows but also fosters strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

What is the difference between Associate Production Manager vs Production Supervisor?

AspectAssociate Production ManagerProduction Supervisor

Required CredentialsAssociate's degree or higher, relevant certifications often preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent, experience in manufacturing roles
Work EnvironmentOffice and production floor, collaborative settingPrimarily on the production floor, hands-on supervision
Industry UsageCommon in manufacturing, industrial, and production companiesWidely used in manufacturing and factory settings

Design Production Manager

Dollamur Sport Surfaces

Fort Worth, TX • On-site

Full-time

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

At Dollamur, we don’t just manufacture mats… we create the foundation for athletes, performers, and competitors to do their best work. From world-class wrestling tournaments and martial arts studios to cheer, gymnastics, and custom-branded training spaces, our products show up where passion, performance, and precision matter most.
We are looking for a Graphic Design Manager who thrives at the intersection of creativity, leadership, and problem solving. This role is perfect for someone who loves being hands-on in the design process while also mentoring a team, improving workflows, and helping turn complex customer ideas into exceptional finished products.
This is not a “sit back and delegate” leadership role. We need someone who can jump into Adobe Illustrator, solve production challenges in real time, coach designers through tough projects, and partner cross-functionally with sales and operations to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
What You’ll Do
Lead and Develop the Design Team
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of graphic and production designers in a fast-paced production environment
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, training, and performance management
  • Help team members grow their technical skills, communication abilities, and confidence
  • Manage team workflow, scheduling, priorities, and resource allocation to ensure projects move efficiently and deadlines are met
Be a Hands-On Design Leader
  • Personally contribute to design production, layout creation, vector artwork preparation, and file conversion
  • Transform customer-provided concepts, logos, and artwork into clean, scalable, production-ready files
  • Review and refine artwork for accuracy, consistency, manufacturability, and quality
  • Troubleshoot design and production issues quickly and creatively
  • Support large-format printing workflows and understand how artwork translates to production methods including digital print and paint
  • Maintain high standards for organization, file management, and documentation
Partner Across the Business
  • Work closely with sales, customer service, operations, and production teams to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and solve challenges proactively
  • Help improve processes that increase efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all artwork and layouts are delivered accurately and on time based on production schedules and business priorities
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong creative and technical design skills with emotional intelligence, leadership ability, and operational thinking.
The ideal candidate is:
  • A strong people manager who knows how to motivate, coach, and develop a team
  • Calm under pressure and capable of solving problems in a fast-moving environment
  • Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with day-to-day production work
  • Passionate about process improvement and operational excellence
  • A strong communicator who can work effectively with a variety of personalities and departments
  • Someone who leads by example and is willing to roll up their sleeves when needed
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience
  • Prior experience leading or managing creative teams strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience preparing artwork for production and large-format printing environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of vector artwork, file preparation, layout scaling, and production workflows
  • Experience with Flexi Sign, EFI printers, or large-format printing workflows is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Why Dollamur?
Dollamur is a company built on innovation, teamwork, and pride in our work. We move fast, support each other, and care deeply about delivering products our customers are proud to use.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Make a direct impact on customer experience and operational success
  • Help shape and improve creative and production processes
  • Work in an environment where collaboration and problem solving are valued
  • Be part of a company connected to sports, performance, and high-level competition across the country
If you’re a hands-on creative leader who enjoys building teams, solving problems, and turning ideas into reality, we’d love to hear from you.
Dollamur understands the importance of culture and benefits in the workplace. We consistently strive to offer a competitive benefits package including full benefits offering along with associate engagement events. If you’re looking for a career with a stable and thriving company that leads the industry in quality, culture, and product then you’ve found that at Dollamur Sport Surfaces.
