Associate Product Manager 2

Procore Technologies, Inc.

Austin, TX • On-site

Full-time

Posted 29 days ago

Job description

We're looking for an Associate Product Manager 2 to join Procore's Solutions Configuration organization, supporting Tool Studio - Procore's platform for building and configuring the tools construction teams use every day. This is a generalist product role: rather than owning one fixed area, you'll flex across different parts of Tool Studio and the broader org based on where the highest-leverage work is, from end-user requirements and UX to reporting/data work to partnering with other product teams on new initiatives.
You'll work closely with engineering to turn ambiguous problems into clear, sequenced requirements, and with customers directly to understand real workflows before designing solutions. This role is a strong fit for someone who wants breadth early in their career - learning multiple parts of a platform, multiple types of problems, and how to execute well.
This position reports into the Group Product Manager and will be based in our Austin, TX office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you'll do:
  • Define clear, detailed requirements and UX flows for end users across web and mobile, partnering closely with design
  • Talk directly with customers to understand their workflows, leading with empathy while balancing what's desirable against what's sequenced and buildable
  • Partner with engineering to convey explicit, unambiguous requirements and stay closely involved through build and release
  • Partner with other product teams on new tools and platform requirements
  • Keep work aligned to the broader product vision and strategy, even as you move across different problem areas
  • Analyze data to define good metrics, track outcomes, and inform prioritization
  • Operate with minimal oversight - this role requires genuine self-direction

What we're looking for:
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, technical account management, or a related highly analytical role
  • Strong written communication; able to turn ambiguous problems into clear, explicit requirements
  • Comfort working with data - pulling, interpreting, and using it to define metrics and guide decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt quickly across different problem spaces
  • Genuine customer empathy paired with the discipline to prioritize and sequence rather than chase every request
  • Nice to have: familiarity with construction workflows, platform/configuration products, or Procore's existing tools ecosystem

Additional Information
Base Pay Range:
113,040.00 - 155,430.00 USD Annual
This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
For Los Angeles County (unincorporated) Candidates:
Procore will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in accordance with the requirements of applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.
A criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship on the following job duties, potentially resulting in the withdrawal of the conditional offer of employment: 1. appropriately managing, accessing, and handling confidential information including proprietary and trade secret information, as well as accessing Procore's information technology systems and platforms; 2. interacting with and occasionally having unsupervised contact with internal/external customers, stakeholders, and/or colleagues; and 3. exercising sound judgment.
